Transfer Start Activities

Weekday and weekend programs are built into the five-week schedule to enhance your experience and help you transition into NC State. Many transfer students have apprehensions about coming to a school as large as NC State or being able to transition quickly.  Transfer START's programming will help you tackle your fears with activities designed to develop your self-confidence and academic prowess to navigate NC State.

Programs during Transfer START are offered by many different resources on campus.  Campus Recreation, Undergraduate Research, the Libraries, the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics, and Public Service (CSLEPS), the Counseling Center and many others will offer programs throughout the summer.  In addition to the numerous on campus programs there will be optional weekly meetings in which we will focus on life at NC State and numerous resources to get you on an accelerated start.  With so many options it will be hard to not find a program that interests you.

These are just a few of the opportunities that will be available this summer.  Transfer START mentors work with students to find what they are interested in and making sure they know the opportunities that are available.  Transfer START is not only a chance to get ahead academically, but to also get involved early with campus and student groups.
